Painting the Landscape in Palette Knife

Whether you are a beginner or a more advanced painter, this course will give you the opportunity of discovering how versatile painting can be using the palette knife. If you choose to paint in a more traditional or abstract style, Stephen will encourage students to loosen up and enjoy the spontaneity that palette knife painting can bring to your canvas or primed board.
Stephen will demonstrate in the morning and afternoon, discuss mixing colours and show the various techniques that can be achieved using a knife. You will manage to paint at least two if not three paintings during the day. Stephen supplies boards that are primed and ready to paint on. Day two of this workshop will look at abstracting the landscape.
As well as being an accomplished artist, Stephen has had 20 years of experience teaching painting at all levels. He is an extremely good teacher, sensitive and tolerant.
